Central Office Staff Give to the Community
On Thursday, June 3, 2004, the Synod of the Pacific Central Office staff, enjoyed the sun while pulling weeds for the Petaluma Boys and Girls Club. Due to financial cut backs the Boys and Girls Club could no longer afford to pay to have the landscape groomed. The front entry to the club was completely overgrown with weeds some exceeding 3 and 4 feet in height.
Synod Executive, Rob Brink believes, as an organization in the city of Petaluma , we need to be part of the community. Working together on a project outside the office also has great value for creating team work among the staff.
All said, the staff enjoyed seeing the amazing progress they had made on the weed patch, greatly needed a bath at the end of the day, and had quality social time to catch up with each other which often can't happen in the office.
The Boys and Girls Club employees were very appreciative.
